Birchbox Box #20 Unboxing

Hi Everyone!

I'm back again with another unboxing post! This time it's for my second birchbox, which happens to be #20 out of the different variations of them this month.

If you're unfamiliar with Birchbox, it's a subscription service that costs $10 a month. The nice thing about Birchbox is that you can review the products that you receive each month and accrue BirchBox Points. Those points can be redeemed for products once you get enough of them. 100 points is $10 to spend on their website on anything you want. So as long as you are good about trying and reviewing the products, it can really pay off!

Also, as a note to anyone who received the BeFine Products in this months Birchbox, Email them! The BeFine products have expired at least 4 years ago according to the dates on the package! Do not use them! Make sure you contact Birchbox so that they have more feedback regarding this problem. Personally I believe it was just a glitch and an oversite, but they still should compensate those of us who got these as samples and are not able to use them.

Okay now on to the unboxing!

Every month the Birchbox Box comes inside a pink mailer box with the logo on the outisde. Then you undo the outer box and inside is a small tan box embossed with the birchbox logo in pink. The boxes are super cute and would be nice to keep as drawer organizers, to wrap gifts in, etc. I keep all of mine so that I can reuse them.

This month the theme is for Earth Day, and as the card above reads, is "Natural Wonders". (You can click on any of my photos to see them full sized!)

The reverse side of the card lists all the products included in the box, and this will vary from person to person since I believe there were over 30 different variations this month!

Opening the box, since it's for Earth Day, everything is wrapped in green tissue this month. The little package in the middle is wrapped in darker tissue which was nice.
I love that they always wrap up part of the package, because it makes the whole thing feel like a gift and it's way more fun to open!

Here you can see all the contents unwrapped!
My box is #20, and contains the following products:

-  Alima Pure Organic Nourishing Lip Balm in Rhubarb. .07 oz. Full size retails for $7
- Benta Berry G-1 Exfoliating Facial Cleanser. .1 fl. oz. Full size retails for $16
- Willa Clear Facial Moisturizer .50 fl oz  Full Size retails for $11.50
- Wonderstruck by Taylor Swift sample vial .05 fl oz, full size retails for $59.50
The Lifestyle extra is La Palais des Thes Tea Bags. This was the same in my first box as well. I received 2 tea bags, 20 tea bags retail for $12.50

I'm excited to try the Willa Moisturizer, but to be frank, I am not looking for a new moisturizer. I use Neutrogena Face lotion religiously and have for the past 10 years. It doesn't clog my pores and it keeps my skin protected from the sun, so I have no intentions of changing my daytime moisturizer anytime soon at all. I will probably test this out at night instead.

The perfume sample is okay, but I already get those for free from Sephora/Nordstroms, so it's not super exciting. I would have preferred a mini instead.

The facial cleanser is good, but again, I have sooo much facial cleanser and I use No More Tears to remove my eyemakeup every day. So I'm again pretty good on those. I should just start trading these!

The lip product is probably the most exciting thing in this box for me, aside from the tea. I love tea and drink it every day, and I love chapsticks, so these are perfect for me! (Please excuse the horribly chipped nail polish in that photograph!)

The lip product is a twist up tube and it smells really really minty and fresh. The color looks dark in the tube but goes on a really sheer reddish color. I swatched it on my hand for you all.

As you can see, it goes on really sheer and is a nice pinky red color.
